FarmVille Scam Alert! Avoid English Stars Sheep News Feed posts

The scammers have returned to the farm. According to FarmVille Freak, another illegitimate News Feed post is circulating Facebook. This time, it offers FarmVille players a free English Stars Sheep. This is not an official Zynga offer, so do not click on it, notify whomever supplied the feed and delete the post from your own News Feed. That is, if you couldn't tell already from the poor punctuation and pixelated image. Not to mention, this expansion pack hasn't even been released yet.

If you unfortunately did click on the offer and the subsequent pop-up page, which itself mentions that this "English Stars Sheep" has not been officially released yet, scan your computer for malware and change your passwords immediately. Also, keep in mind that accounts affected by scammers can be suspended by Zynga. So, be careful of the offers you accept and only accept those officially from Zynga.

Have you seen this scam floating around the News Feeds? How do you think Zynga should handle the issue?
